Queensland records — they all count.

Every day, Queenslanders make and break records.

The records we all create, capture and manage in the public sector are valuable assets that contribute to a lasting legacy.

Recordkeeping is a necessary part of our work as we are all required by legislation to manage public records.

Access to full and accurate records helps us to be more efficient, saving time and money. In light of the Right to Information reforms, well-kept records increase transparency and accountability for individuals and agencies. More readily available information is also in the public’s best interest.

Whether headline-making or day-to-day, records combine to paint a picture of Queensland and enable us to draw on the past to make important decisions about our future.
